A 3 day trip to Michigan with Kirtland’s Warbler and Upland Sandpiper my main targets. I had seen and photographed both in the past (a Kirtland’s visited Chicago in 2019 and had a surprise encounter with an Upland Sandpiper in Cape May, NJ back in 2006) but this was a chacne to see them on territory. I was very successful with Kirtland’s as I got to see 7 Kirtland’s up close but not so much with the Upland as I only got to hear one. Overall a very enjoyable trip.
