I try to bird every day during the height of the migration (May) and this year was no exception. Trips to South Jersey and Maggie Marsh added to what I saw around Chicagoland which was not as good as in years past. Highlights; Gray Kingbird at Barnegat Lighthouse SP NJ and a close encounter with a Virginia Rail at the Cape May Meadows.
