An unforgettable trip with my better half and my two lifers! I struggled with the high altitude for parts of the trip and my fear of heights kicked in a few times as we drove on narrow ‘roads’ but that was a small price to pay for a trip of a lifetime… We sampled great food at Lima, visited magical Machu Picchu and spent 3 days at Cock-of-the-Rock Lodge & Manu Paradise Lodge in the Amazon Rainforest. Birding highlights: Andean Cock-of-the-Rock*, Torrent Duck*, Humboldt Penguin*, Inca Tern*, Ocellated Piculet*, Versicolored Barbet*, Blue-banded Toucanet*, Cuzco Brushfinch*, 15 species of Tanagers, 12 species of Hummingbirds and many many more..
